I use these pages in a work station in my classroom. Students look through a story or poem that has highlights words with the specific letter sound on the page and write words that begin with that letter. (I usually use a story from a student textbook or Letter Chant from A to Z reading.) I have already read the story to the students as a shared reading on the carpet, so this is a follow up. We do the first few letters together as a class, so then students are able to be independent when they are at a work station.
The alphabet pictures in this book correlate with my “Alphabet Posters/Word Wall Cards,” “Daily Handwriting” book, “Desktop Alphabet, Touch Math, and Color Chart,” “My Alphabet Chart,” “Be a Word Detective,” “Beginning Sounds Activity Sheets” and any kind of phonics worksheets posted in my TPT store.
