Students will enjoy this different way to read and write the room. Have them walk around the room with a magnifying glass, their ABC recording sheet, and a pencil. As students find a “tiny writing” card, they will use their magnifying glass to be able to read the word, look at the first letter of the word and write the word in the box of the correct letter (“apple” goes in the Aa box, “watermelon” goes in the Ww box). There is a picture beside the words for your non-readers so they will know what they are writing. Check for accuracy. Students can also draw a picture in the box to make sure they know what they have written if they are non-readers.
I’m working on a more differentiated set of Word Detective products, so keep on the look-out!
