Description
Word family study is an essential part of reading instruction. They represent patterns in our language. By mastering these single-syllable words, students become more comfortable with rhyming and eventually learn to decode longer, more complex words. All of this will help your students become better readers. These Word Family packets include 22 weeks of activities for short ‘a, e, i, o and u' families. (Each vowel pack is represented by a different color for easy reference.) For each word family there is a week’s worth of activities included to introduce, familiarize and provide word family word work practice for your students. Included for each of the six-word families:
