These worksheets are a great way for students to practicing hearing and seeing what word families are; words with the same word endings but with different beginning sounds, which ultimately creates an entire new word!
You can use these during your word work, stations, or another time during your literacy block:
- Students will cut apart the pictures and paste them in the boxes underneath the correct word family column.
- Students then will write the beginning sound that corresponds to each picture OR write the entire word, depending on which worksheet you use. This allows you the opportunity to differentiate during this activity if need be.
I hope your students enjoy these as much as mine do!
