This is an easy to make/use language arts center.
Rhyming can be one of the hardest concepts to teach kindergarten students...but everyone loves pizza! My students love this center activity because they like "playing with the pizzas". Little do they realize, they are learning at the same time.
Print these out on card stock or laminate them. Mix them up and have students build the pizzas based on the word families. If you want to be fancy, make or get little actual pizza boxes for kids to sort them in or use a pizza pan.
I have another pizza game that is similar to this one but uses pictures. This game is more for students who are somewhat reading and can recognize the endings of words. When I teach this center/concept, I emphasize to students that if they can read the word "at", they can also read cat, bat, hat, etc. This game does a great job with reinforcing that concept.
