This word family printable makes it easy to have children to practice phoneme substitutions by building words. Printables contain word family endings on the roof of the home. Students continue to use the same endings for each word, but change the beginning letter or letters to make a new rhyming word and create a new meaning. They draw a picture of the word in the square. (see sample included)There is a blank chart for students to make their own Word Family Home after they practice with the pre-made families. I usually will write them on the board with students and then use this printable a center for students to either copy the family we practiced together or to make their own word family. It is always helpful to model each step with the students prior to expecting them to do it independently in a center. This is the 2nd set of my Word Family Practice Worksheets BUNDLE
