This is a game where students use letter tiles to make words/phrases in Spanish to answer a prompt (letter tiles are either made by teacher from legoes with permanent marker or from Alphabits cereal or from a game that has letter tiles; letter tiles may also be purchased in counts of 100-500 online i.e. from Amazon). The student with the best (most creative, funniest, most correct, etc. you decide criteria) answer gets a point. For instance, if prompt said "a boring activity/una actividad aburrida", student would use his/her tiles to spell something out (i.e. estudiar). He/she would be limited to spelling out only what was possible using the letters he/she happened to have. Each student can have 20-25 tiles. For this game, all you have to do is print out and cut up the cards and provide students with letters (on tiles or Alphabit cereal). The game can be used when there is some free time. It allows students to use the language that they have learned in a creative fashion. There are no limits....just level of vocabulary students are at. The game can be used in various levels of Spanish...you can play it every year and throughout the year as every year and each month students will have more language to create with. Game may also be used for ESL for students whose language is Spanish . They can read the questions in Spanish but need to create answer in English.
