In this resource you will find 30 word ladders in Spanish that can be used in a variety of ways.
There are two versions of each ladder (one with words and one with pictures).
The ladders can be used seperately or can be folded and laminated together to form a double-sided card.
Cards can be stored individually with only the necessary syllables (or words) and maybe a few extras to challenge students. Another option is to store several ladders together with the necessary syllables (or words).
If you already have syllable cards or magnetic letters, etc. You may not need the cards provided. Use whichever is easier for you. One option is to print the syllable cards on different colored paper to serve as a visual aid for students to see that one of the syllables changes as the ladder goes down.
Included you will find some options that I’ve come up with in terms of using these cards, however; I am sure there are plenty more ways that they can be used in your classroom.
*The higher number cards may get difficult for students. Older students can use a dictionary to figure out tough words, or the puzzles themselves. Words in between two other words are easy to figure out because they begin and end with a syllable from each of the words around it. The teacher also may give students the words, as the focus may be on hearing the sounds and forming each word.
