Why DoYou Need This Product?
Do you notice some of your students misspell the same words over and over again? Do they constantly ask, “how do you spell ___”? If so, then this product is a must for your classroom! A word wall is a must, especially in a K-3 classroom … however, sometimes you just do not have the space for one and I don’t know about you, but I always have trouble keeping up with my word wall… for some reason, I just never remember to add the new words. This booklet “word wall” will help build confidence for your reluctant writers and it is much easier than using regular dictionaries to locate words.

This Word Learning Dictionary is an interactive word dictionary that provides students with a resource that will help them spell words they are still learning. Spelling is a skill that develops with time, teaching, and practice. We work hard all school year to build solid spelling foundations in our little learners. One way we do this is providing them with engaging, purposeful tools that assist and challenge them to be responsible for their own learning.

Words We Are Learning: Our Word Dictionary will empower your students to take a dive into their dictionary and look up the words they need! If the word they are looking for is not in the booklet, there is room for adding additional words. Once a word is in the book, hold students responsible for looking it up whenever they need help spelling it by simply prompting them to use their word dictionary. Eventually, they will look before asking for help or even better, they will learn the words and write them automatically.

This booklet includes print and use A to Z word list pages and A to Z blank list options. (the blank option can be used when more space is needed for a particular letter or if you rather create your own lists as your students are learning them. I have also added an A to Z one-page matrix that can be used in a student’s writing folder as a personal word list of words they are learning.

I have included a few additional lists that your young writers may need:
animal words
calendar words
color words
holiday words
math words

Thank you for considering my product. I hope you have a blessed day!!!
