When teaching my students how to "blend" words together I use a multi-sensory approach including (touch, touch, touch slide). It's simply intended as a way for students to connect with each sound and the blending process when trying to put them together as a whole word. These poster cards include the 3 basic word patterns commonly taught in the primary years. CVC, CVCe and CCVC. Hang them up, use them as a guide or teaching tool and refer to them daily when students are encountering words in their reading that fit the pattern.
