I am so excited to share the children of W.A.T.T. Valley with you!!! This brand new series has been years in development, and the characters you will meet in W.A.T.T. Valley have been thoughtfully designed to provide your students with inspiration and encouragement!
This W.A.T.T. resource pack centers on the adventures of Word Play W.P. These are excellent resources for use in collaboration with other W.A.T.T. Valley learning materials, however they are also excellent stand-alone elements for encouraging your students to develop important critical thinking and problem-solving skills, applicable in both classroom and real-world settings.
Word Play W.P. loves to play games with words and vocabulary. In this resource pack, students will join W.P. and experiment with word games, box puzzles, codes, analogies, and more. These activities lend themselves easily to independent work, as well as partnerships and small groups.
Helping students grow linguistically through vocabulary building is a fantastic way to build brain power! W.P. encourages students to have fun with words and complex linguistic puzzles—not be intimidated by them.
George Gordon Byron said, “A drop of ink may make a million think.” Emily Dickenson wrote, “I know nothing in the world that has as much power as a word. Sometimes I write one, and I look at it, until it begins to shine.” W.P. also knows the power of a word, and he encourages your students to join him in this exciting activity pack. Enjoy learning with Word Play W.P. Shannon
