Word Problem Templates for writing word problems.
I use these pages in my math centers and my students love them. These templates are of pictures that are both in color and in black and white. When I introduce this to my kids, we talk about what can go with the pictures. For example, if I am showing them the picture of the jar, the kids can say that they want to put cookies in the jar. They then decide how many cookies to start with. Then we have to decide if we are going to add to the cookies or subtract from them. Once we have decided this, we then think of how many are going to be added or subtracted. Once we have this all figured out, we draw it onto our page. We then fill in the number sentences both vertically and horizontally. Last, we write the word problem on the page.
These pages can be printed for each individual student or they can be printed and laminated for continual use...
