This holiday themed set of Word Problems of the Day is printed two to a page. Included with each problem is the K/Q/O t-chart for use in solving the problem. The K is for “know” and gives the student space to write down the information that is found in the problem. The Q is for “question”. Students write down the question from the problems and focus on just what is being asked. The “O” is for operation—here the student notes which mathematical operation will be used. The rest of the space is for the actual calculations. I have found this format very successful with my students because it keeps them focused on finding the solution.
Includes 20 holiday themed word problems.
Features multi-digit multiplication and division using standard algorithms as well as addition and subtraction of decimals.
Included are instructions for using KQO charts for solving problems.
