With the change to Common Core in our state, I needed a daily math program that would encourage my students to think about math in a different way. Students need to focus on the "hows and whys" of problems, instead of " I don't know I just added the numbers together." In preparation for our state test where they will be asked to explain how they got an answer, I made a daily sheet that would require the student to think about how they got the answers. The repetitive nature of the sheet and the familiarity hopefully will help them " think outside the box."
This unit is Part 2 Multiplication/Division/ Multi-step word problems
