Escape Rooms are SO much fun for students, SO engaging, and provide SO much opportunity for problem-solving and cooperation. This escape room is a great way for students to problem solve while solving multi-step word problems.
This escape room requires the materials included in this packet, as well as access to at least one computer. It would be helpful if each of the groups working on this have access to their own computer or an iPad. As students complete the clues, they can type their answers into the Google Form which is included. Students will not be able to pass through this Google Form until they get all of the questions correctly. If there is no computer available, you could have students give you all answers, and if they are all correct, you could let them know they completed the mission. However, it is much more fun if the students can type in the answers into the answer checker.
You can give your students as many or as few clues as you would like throughout this mission. You may also want to give students 2 hint cards. When they feel SUPER stuck, they can give you a hint card to become “unstuck.
Time frame: 1 hour
*Set a clock for this amount of time (projecting this would be the best)
Students are told that a new computer banking system is stealing money from millions of people around the world. Students are going to help one friend try to break the codes and clues so he can log in to the system to save the banking system from stealing all of his cash!
*Reading- there is a LOT of reading involved in this escape room! :)
I hope your kids love this as much as my kids did!
