Contractions provide the challenge of combining 2 words together, which is no easy task for students learning English. Playing games is a great way for students to practice using the words. I've used these games with grades 2 - Adult with students new to the English language.
60 (30 pairs) matching contraction cards which have visual symbols in each corner.
60 (30 pairs) matching contraction cards with no visuals - these are the printed word only.

25 Contraction bingo boards
25 Bingo boards with 2 words making up a contraction in each square
The card deck can be used to play Go Fish or Memory Games, Timed Speed Sorts, and if you print two decks, students can do speed sort races against one another. Another game students really enjoy playing is done by dividing the class into 2 teams and shuffling the deck. One person (teacher or choose a student leader) holds up the cards one at a time. The first team to say the matching two words or contraction correctly gets the point. The winner is the team with the most points after going through the card deck.
To play Bingo, sort the deck into contraction and 2 word sets, then choose one set of boards, contractions or the 2 words making a contraction., and give each student a board. Pull, call, and show the word from the card set that provides a match for the distributed Bingo boards. For example, if students have contraction boards, pull the 2 word cards, and have students find and cover the matching contraction or 2 words on their board. When a student calls VERB-O, s/he must use the covered row of 4-5 words in sentences to claim themselves a winner. (Students can be writing sentences on a piece of paper as the game proceeds to be prepared when it comes time to recite their sentences.) Alternatively, you can tell a student to choose 2 words to put into sentences. Students should use the words in sentences in any of the games played. In memory or go fish, they can say a sentence using the contraction after each pair chosen. They must use the contraction to get the needed practice.
Another idea would be to give pairs of students sets of 10 pairs contractions and words, with each student getting one from each pair: 5 word cards and 5 contraction cards for each student. One student says a sentence using their card, and the other replies with a sentence using the matching card. Example:
Student A - She is not going to be home on time.
Student B - I know, and her mother isn't going to be happy about it either.
