There are thirty-one headers, labeled with blends, consonant clusters, and digraphs. To give students a visual clue for the sound, each header has a picture that has that specific sound.
Seven headers, have six picture cards and 4 word cards to use in a variety of sorts. There are also 18 headers that have 6 corresponding word cards and 6 headers that have 4 corresponding word cards.
The word sort in this product is in the letter-name-alphabetic stage.

The word sorts in this product have a unique frame design
for easy organization. Headers and word cards with a white frame have also been included to make different combinations of word sorts possible.
Suggestions for Use:
Students place the headings on their desk or a table and place the corresponding picture card below the heading.
Make it into a folder activity by gluing the headings inside a folder and putting the picture cards in a pocket. You may glue the product cover on the front of the folder for easy identification.
Put magnetic tape on the back of all the pieces and have the child complete the activity on the side of a filing cabinet.
Place the headings in the top row of a pocket chart and students will place the corresponding picture card below the heading.
