Directions: Students need scissors, glue and either notebook or construction paper. They cut the top block and glue to the top of the page. Then draw a line down between the two headings. The words are then cut and sorted under the headings.
The first page is an example of how I fill out the sorting sheet. My suggestion is to save this template on your desktop.
To edit the template simply “double click” in the area that you want to add text. You can maneuver through the cells easily with the “Tab” key. Remember the “Undo” button is your friend Each time you make a new work sheet you can save it as a PDF file for easier printing: Go to File, Save as, Save as type (this is under your file name) If for some reason your template becomes distorted you can simply delete the file and download again from your TPT Purchases.
I like having the quick and easy title there for grading / recording purposes later in the semester if I have fallen back on my grading.
There are two different sorting options…one is a 2 column sort and the other is a 3 column sort.
