Word Sorts for Short/Long A & I Words
Here is a great activity that you can use to help your students analyze and compare spellings between short and long vowels. Perfect for when you make the transition to teaching about silent or “magic” e after your short vowel units.
There are nine-word sort activities. A blank sheet has been provided in addition to a letter sheet that students can use to make words. These activities can be used as a review, literacy center activity, or quick independent transition activities during the day.
