Product Description
With these weekly word study packets, students divide words into their Greek and Latin affixes and roots. Now that they've severed them into their separate parts, they are ready to conquer their meanings using their ninja brains. Unleash your vocabulary with a [hi-ya!] chop.

Monday rolls around once a week, and when it does, start with a quick word study lesson introducing the week’s word part. (Coming soon to my website: Monday intro lesson guidance.) Then, assign the “Divide and Conquer” packet as your weekly word study.

Voila! Let the learning begin.

Each “Divide and Conquer” packet includes 12 weekly words and the following items:
-Divide and Conquer Meaning Chart
-Making Connections Chart
-Sentence Sense- combination of cloze sentences and a writing assignment
-Fluency Passage with word count
-Your Reactions- write opinions on questions related to week’s words
-Wheel of Words- find 6 additional words that exhibit that week’s word part
-EmoticonIt- write emotional reactions to week’s vocabulary

(Tree-friendly reminder: Print selected pages 2-5. Then, print front to back, and you'll only use two sheets of paper per packet!)
