Product Description
Students will cut and sort words that end with -ed. They will sort them into categories based on how the word sounds. For example, when you add "ed" to the word "rest", the word, "rested" makes an "ed" sound. When you add "ed" to the word "fix", the word "fixed" makes a "t" sound. When you add "ed" to the word "clean", the word "cleaned", makes a "d" sound. There are some "oddball" words that don't fit any of these three categories. This is an important lesson because often students will spell the word based on the sound, so fixed is commonly spelled "fixt" and cleaned is spelled "cleand".
