Chorus
Noun, pronoun, conjunction and verb
Prepositions, adjectives, interjection, adverb

Noun
A noun is a simple word to understand
A person! Like a woman or like a man
A place! Like New England, or Japan
A thing! Like a taco, trumpet or a van

Pronoun
A pronoun takes the place of a noun
Like he or she was out on the town
He or She takes the place of names
Some, each, you, it, we and they

Verb
A verb is a word that shows action
Running jumping kicking feet-sneaker-traction
What you do every day is a verb
Like an ollie on a skateboard or gindin’ the curb

Adverb
Like Robin is to Batman I’m to a verb
Adverb increases intensity of the word
Almost, also, only, so, out, here
Always, first, last, today, later, there

Adjectives
I’m an adjective the king of describing
Doctor to a noun sentences prescribing
Huge, awesome, massive and gigantic
Crabby, creepy, quirky, silly, super- sweet fantastic

Conjunctions
Use a conjunction when there’s two things to say
Use a conjunction, make a sentence bouquet
For, and, nor, but, or, yet, so
FANBOYS are here, now it’s time to go!

Preposition
A preposition’s job is to link sentence form
In, on, at, below, above the norm
Near, far, behind, into, out of, between
Making magic happen is my routine

Interjection
Ah, now that’s an interjection
Alas, hey, hmm, uh-oh part of speech section
Hey – oh
Hey – oh
