What educators are saying

My students enjoyed seeing the words in "word jail." They could explain why they were in Word Jail. Good resource.
We have some of the words on the word wall so adding them to "jail" is great for them to see some words are rule-breakers.

Take your word wall to the next level and provide additional practice for those rule breaker or tricky to read and spell sight words or word wall words. Add a Word Jail to your word wall to place difficult to read and spell sight words. You students will be able to find those difficult words easily and will enjoy the idea of putting those "bad words" in jail.

What is included in this resource:

⭐The Word Jail poster - To be printed poster-sized (directions on how to do this are included in the product),

⭐Information about how I use the Word Jail in my classroom

⭐A set of rule breaker word cards. I have included 48 words from the pre-primer, primer, first and second-grade lists.

⭐An editable file so you can type in your own words.

⭐3 worksheets that you can use with your students to reinforce reading the Word Jail words.
