Does your school have a work sort program or do you have weekly words in your class?
I have differentiated work groups from week to week and it's a lot of prep! This year, my kids will get a "journal" each week for their word work! Each day they will sort their words, complete an activity, and play a practice game with a friend if there is time. The prep is so easy because you can copy the same journal for your entire class. Many options for word work means that you can change activities from week to week too!
Here is what's included:
-checklist cover pages
-write your sort
-draw your sort (with primary lines version AND a version to add a sentence)
-rainbow writing (versions to write with one color per letter, sound, pattern, and with red vowels)
-spin and write (for 2-6 patterns/words)
-slides and ladders game (editable with 3 versions to differentiate and allow your students to apply their words at the correct level!)
-writing application (with and without a picture box, sentences with words)
-practice 4 ways (stamp it, rainbow write, fancy write etc, in tables)
-word hunt templates (Great to use with phonics poems and leveled readers! There are several versions included.)
-word work menus (premade versions AND a blank version with clipart for all word work activities so that you can create the perfect version for your classroom!)
-write 3 times
-roll and write
-triangle/pyramid writing (titled both ways)
-keyboarding practice (say it, type it, write it!)
-create your own word search
