This packet is a seasonal companion to the "Word Work Pack: CVC Words, Sight Words, Sentences, Blends and Digraphs." This packet contains a few word families that are related to seasonal words. The majority of the packet focuses on short vowel sounds and long vowels created with a "silent e."
It contains the following pages:
These activity sheets start with a spring-themed word, such as "bloom." Then, they ask students to make words from the related word family. In this case, it would be the "-oom" family. 14 word families are included.
Write-in a vowel choice
These sheets provide students with 2-5 vowels. They must choose the one that makes a real word. Both black-and-white and color versions are included. The color version can be laminated for classroom use.
Cut-and-glue the vowels
These sheets provide students with 2 vowel choices and 6 words to complete on each page. They cover both CVC and CVCe words.
These cutting activities allow students to slide different vowels through slits in the picture, creating a new CVC word each time. These are provided with black-and-white or color pictures.
Write the Room
There are also spring-themed "write the room" sheets that go with this packet. They are available for FREE on my blog:
