Do your EFL students struggle with basic vocabulary words? Here is my strategy to develop their vocabulary and create a fun and engaging activity!
Your September Word Cards in detail:
So here is a series of vocabulary words for your students. For each word as you can see in the thumbnails above you will find: an illustration, the word in capital letters to be easily read and spelt, the category (to reinforce garmmar skills along the way), its British phonetic transcription (to practice pronunciation too) and a series of words called clues to help your students define the main word. There are 26 September words (one for each letter of the alphabet).
How to use this resource:
Every single day, we start the lesson with a word of the day. I give a student a card and he/she has to define the word to make his/her classmates guess what it is. We also practice the alphabet while spelling the word at the end (which is why you have 26 words for each month, one for each letter of the alphabet).
Important Notice:
Please note that this individual set exists in a bundle! Useful tip: you will find 4 cards per A4 page.
