These are three hands-on activities that students can do independently when at word work station. They are very engaging and motivate the children to stay on task. They also teach the children ways to practice reading and spelling new words.
Build a Word:
- Students read the spelling word, highlight the pattern, build the word using magnetic letters or tiles, write the word, and then check it
Stamp Your Words:
-Students stamp their spelling words and then write them.
-Students write their spelling words in one color, then trace the same word in a different color, and then trace it one more time in another color (therefore, they've written each word 3 times and they look like a rainbow)
