As teachers we know that students possess unique learning styles, usually more than one. Sometimes, it can be hard to reach a student’s preferred learning style. It can be even harder to reach ALL students’ preferred learning styles. So, using Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, I have created word work activities that give students options and the freedom to learn and practice with their preferred learning style. I have differentiated the activities based on four of the Intelligences: “Art Smart,” “Body Smart,” “Word Smart,” and “Number Smart.” I have created four different sets of worksheets based on the mentioned “Smarts” and within each of those sets of worksheets are 5 tasks that are even further differentiated based on level of difficulty. The worksheets provided in this set are geared toward the “Art Smart” individual. Look for my other sets of worksheets for the “Body Smart,” “Word Smart,” and “Number Smart” individual.! These worksheets can be used in many different ways and with ANY word list. I, personally, use them with "cubing" and will be posting another packet like this one, but with the cube added to it. Be on the look out for it soon!
