This packet included 2 games to use for small group or whole group activities. The word cards have sight words, short a words, short e words and short i wordsand number words. The letter cards are all letters lower and upper case.
The word cards can be used for:
I created this game to be used with foam hammers that I found at
the Target dollar spot. You spread the words out on the carpet.
Two students have a hammer each. Call out one of the words.
When the student spots the word, they Ã¢ï¿½ï¿½hammerÃ¢ï¿½ï¿½ it with their
foam hammer. They get to keep the card. This could be used as a
center or a whole group game with teams.
Ã¢ï¿½Â¢ Hammer Time GameÃ¢ï¿½ï¿½ Use the cards with the hammer on it. The
students pick a card, if they can read they keep it If they draw a
card that says Hammer Time, they have to give their cards back.
Ã¢ï¿½Â¢ Make two copies of the cards and play memory.
Ã¢ï¿½Â¢ Hide the cards in the room and have the students look for them
as a write the room activity.
The letter cards can be used for the same.
