PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Word of the Day is great way to build up your student’s vocabulary. This quick activity uses the Frayer model to help the student’s get a full understanding of the word at hand. The 40 words chosen in this packet are focused on task oriented verbs- or the academic action words, written in the directions of assignments, tasks and assessments that your students will see when trying to understand the question is really asking. {I pulled from Marzano and Blooms}
This is a quick, daily activity that is perfect to use in the beginning of the school year. Print it out as a packet so your students can reference it all year! In 8 weeks, your ELLs and struggling students will feel truly supported and more prepared for performance tasks and tests. Your high achieving students will LOVE trying to figure out what each word means and will be challenged to find synonyms and antonyms for each of the 40 words!
