Included in this bundle are the two types of assessments I have created for each of the twenty vocabulary lessons presented in Wordly Wise Book 5. The first group of 20 assessments ask your students to complete more close-ended types of tasks, including matching vocabulary words to definitions and completing cloze sentences by inserting the correct vocabulary word in each of ten sentences. The second group of 20 assessments are more challenging and ask students to complete more open-ended tasks to assess their knowledge of the vocabulary words. Students will work with synonyns and antonyms, justify whether a vocabulary word is used properly in a sentence, complete a cloze task, and answer open-ended questions that use words from each of the lessons. Answer keys are provided for all of the assessments included. If you are looking to easily differentiate the assessments that you give to the variety of learners in your classroom, while maintaining the rigor demanded with the adoption of the Common Core standards, this bundle will fulfill that need nicely. These tasks might also work nicely as review acitivities before you give students your own assessments on each lesson's words. Please see the preview for an example of the two types of assessments and download the free two week sample of the authentic assessments to see if they might work for you.
