WORDS HOMEWORK, PRE K-3
LANGUAGE CRAFT WORDS HOMEWORK, GRADES PRE K-3, REINFORCE THE FIVE VOWEL
SOUNDS “a, e, I, o, u.” There are several sight words added for practice. The sight words make
it possible for the words to be arranged into sentences.
At the beginning, send home the direction page. Continue to send one vowel page home as
needed. It’s fun practice. There are many, many vowel-sound words for practice. The child has
an opportunity to master one vowel sound before proceeding to the next. The first set of
vowel sound words are three letter (CVC) words. As the children progress, the words become
four and five letter words but the words continue to stress the short vowel sounds.
Repetition, practice and mastery are the keys to success.
