This resource has been created to complement the Words Their Way spelling program and requires 15-20 minutes of dedicated time every day.

After assessing your students using the Words Their Way Spelling Inventory and grouping them according to their spelling stage, this timetable can be used to provide a differentiated spelling program for children in the Syllables & Affixes (Green Book) and Early Derivational Relations Spellers Stage (Early Blue Book).

The children roll through the timetable beginning at activity 1 where the teacher introduces the sort. The students complete 1 activity a day, over a fortnight they will complete 10 activities including an assessment, links to our comprehensive spelling assessment documents can be found at our TpT store https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Oz-Teacher-Resources.

As suggested by Words Their Way each group should be working on a different activity everyday therefore allowing the teacher time to introduce every sort to each group. To run this program you will need an adult helper to facilitate the spelling assessment.

This resource contains a printable Timetable to put up in your classroom, containing 10 spelling activities.
It also includes an Error Analysis page, for students to use in correcting their spelling mistakes after the Assessment Activity - a crucial part of the spelling process.
