This is a collection of words used in Words Their Way sorts to practice different spelling patterns. I made this product alongside Words Their Way: Word Sorts for Within Pattern Spellers.
There are SIX different game templates created for each of the different sorts. Typically, my students will have one set of sort words upside down in the center of their table. Students will grab one at a time, if they are able to say their sort word in a sentence, they may mark their spot on the Connect Four game. The first student to mark four in a row wins! Students will continually play until their Words Their Way rotation is over.

I created this product on a white background, so I could print these on colored card stock. I color code all Words Their Way materials so that students (and myself) know exactly which materials are meant for them. I simply print these documents out, cut words, laminate and cut again. This product can now be used for years to come. This is just one of the many ways this product can be used inside of your class too!
Be on the lookout for the other Within Word Pattern Spellers, Letter Name - Alphabetic, Syllables and Affixes Spellers, and Derivational Relations Spellers Sort Words and other related products, such as, Fill-in-the-Blank and Word Searches and Connect Four.
Even if you don't use Words Their Way, you can use these spelling activities within small groups to teach different spelling patterns and phonics.
