Here is a simple class activity to inspire positive mindsets in teens and tweens. Originally created as a Valentine's Day activity to replace the "exchange a card" parties at school, this activity grows in empowering students to develop positive mindsets and improve their own outlooks towards others while at the same time receiving powerful and positive messages from peers. Then it became even more of a "command of the English Language" tool once I started introducing "dead words" that are overused (nice, cool, quiet) and showed them how to use the thesaurus to describe people who are around them everyday. The theme is positive and the product is pretty much priceless once it is finished. As time allows, I even participate, and those finished products are a sentimental treasure.
P.S. Not sure why the image is skewed, but it is easily reset in PPT.
