This activity includes instructions, samples, a questionnaire, and a rubric for a middle-school writing assignment. Students will use a questionnaire to interview an elderly person. They will ask biological information and personal information about lessons learned and words of wisdom. They will compose a three-paragraph paper and share the paper with the class. After discussing the "words of wisdom" and telling how they relate to their lives, the students will illustrate them. Finally, the students will create a bulletin board to share their "words of wisdom."
