This is a set of persuasive writing prompt task cards. Each card has a statement on it that students need to decide whether they agree or disagree with. They then need to write a piece persuading the reader to agree with their opinion.
These cards are great to use for Work on Writing
during your Daily 5 stations! Just copy on
cardstock, cut apart and laminate to use over and
over again. Keep them in a photo box (or shoebox) for students to use at a center or make a copy for each student. I have also used these as a writing tic tac toe where students have to complete 3 boxes of their choice. These are also great to use as daily writing prompts. Just punch a hole in the top corner and secure them with a metal ring so that you can keep track of the cards you have already used.
This set of 20 persuasive cards includes the following topics:
Junk food, animals in Zoos, height restrictions on roller coasters, McDonalds lunch at school, kids driving cars, video games at school, getting rid of math at school, NO school on weekends, wearing hats at school, girls should play football, aliens, long vs. short hair, Minecraft in school, brownies for lunch, outlawing sushi, getting paid for good grades, kids with cell phones, Christmas everyday, having no bedtime and people flying,
