This Alphabet Packet has multi level worksheets to meet the needs of all learners and requires NO PREP! The resources in this packet are designed to meet Common Core Standards for Kindergarten through 2nd grade while making learning FUN, hands-on and interactive!
The following common core activities are included in this packet:
-Find the Hidden Picture: Students will use their knowledge of upper and lower case letters to find the hidden picture – L.1.1.a, L.k..1a
-Find the Hidden Picture Modified: – The hidden picture is color coded.
-Syllable Count: Students will use the knowledge of one and two syllable words to cut out pictures and glue them in the proper column. RF13d
-Syllable Count Modified – The two syllable words are segmented. The student selects in which category to place the picture.
-Long Vowel/Short Vowel word search – Students will highlight long vowel words in yellow and highlight short vowel words in blue. RF13c, Rfk3b
-Long Vowel/Short Vowel word search Modified–The first letter of each word in the puzzle is color coded. Students will need to find the remainder of the word.
-Short Vowel Maze – Students will use a bingo dabber to mark all of the short vowel words. They will find their way to the end of the maze. The maze contains short and longvowel words that all begin with the same letter. RFk3b
-Short Vowel Maze Modified – Only short vowel words are included. Words start with multiple consonants.
-Crossword Puzzle – Students will use the clues to fill in the crossword puzzle – Ll4a, RF13b
-Crossword Puzzle Modified –The answers are included. Students trace the answer.
-Letter Writing Practice – Students will practice writing upper and lower case letters. Room is included for students to try to write the letter themselves- Ll1a, LK1a
-Letter Writing Practice Modified – Students trace all the letters.
Letter Word Match Up – Students will draw a line matching the words with the correct picture. – LK2d, L14a
-Letter Word Match Up Modified. – Graphics and labels are included for the student.
-Word Scramble – Students will unscramble the letters to write the mystery word. –L14aRF13b
-Word Scramble Modified–The answers are included. Students trace the answer.
-Beginning, Middle or End – Students will read the words. Is the consonant/vowel sound at the beginning, middle or end of the word. Use a bingo dabber to dab “B”: for beginning, “M” for middle and “E” for end. – RF12c
-Beginning, Middle or End Modified – The letter being worked with is underlined and in bold. The students can visually identify placement.
