A 4-page worksheet that introduces acceleration calculations through 6 basic word problems.
Page 1 provides a summary of how to use the linear acceleration formula , a description of the 4 required elements that each solution should include for full points, as well as an example question and complete answer.
Pages 1-2 feature 6 leveled word problems, equally divided between solving for acceleration (a), time (T), and velocity (V) variables. One of the word problems involves metric conversions and is clearly identified for students.
Pages 3-4 feature a full color-coded answer key that can be used by the teacher alone, displayed to students on a screen/interactive white board, or handed out to students who have completed the document.
NOTE: Significant Figures Included!
All problems are designed to involve correct significant figures and have corresponding answer keys that also include significant figures. Feel free to modify the document if this is not part of your curriculum!
This worksheet comes in 2 formats: a PDF document and fully-editable WORD document
Feel free to download full PDF preview to see exactly what you are getting!
