A 4-page worksheet that provides an overview of how Dmitri Mendeleev developed his periodic table of elements and why it was the most widely accepted.
I typically use this as a summary reading exercise that acts as a supporting document to my PPT presentation on the periodic table. After showing the relevant PPT slides to my students and viewing a brief video clip, I hand out this reading exercise for students to work on for the remainder of the lesson and for homework.
