There are 2 worksheets in this product. The purpose of each worksheet is for students to recognize that some word have more than one meaning. Students are provided with 22 pairs of sentences. They read each group of them. Then they look up to the word boxes at the top of the pages to find a word that makes sense in both sentences of a pair. This will give students practice in using sentence context and give them a greater understanding of multiple-meaning words. Doing the worksheets might also increase your students’ vocabularies.
The first worksheet is a page long and the second is a page and a half. You can have students do both at the same time or provide them separately. The 4th and 5th pages are answer keys. The worksheets will print off easily, plus you will be able to edit them to meet your own needs and purposes. You could add or have your students add sentence pairs containing spelling words or vocabulary you are currently studying. Having students think of sentence pairs that require multi-meaning words might prove to be an engaging challenge for them.
