Product Description
Timelines and research are such an important aspects of learning. Sometimes it seems daunting. Kids struggle to find credible sources in this technological age. Getting the information from the source to the brain seems even harder.

This is a set that has dividers for each historical figure, brainstorming circle map option, timeline activities, petal book review, and simple application questions at the end.

This set allows students to use QR coded (or websites already checked out by an educator) information to create a timeline around 11 historical African Americans who changed the course of history with their choices.

These Historical Figures are:
>Henry “Box” Brown
>Jackie Robinson
>Thurgood Marshall
>Rosa Parks
>Booker T. Washington
>Jesse Owens
>Harriet Tubman
>Sojourner Truth
>George Washington Carver
>Ruby Bridges
>Frederick Douglass

Students will create timelines within their interactive notebooks. Each piece of the timeline has a date and an image.Students use their research code or site to find the information and add it to their notebook! With 11 different people, students will have a variety of options!

This set also comes with visuals of each figure (clipart version) with their birth date and death, an image that helps students remember what they did, AND a short description of their importance to history.

"If we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it."

After students finish the timelines, they have the opportunity to brainstorm, draft, and write a research essay!

Let's make research fun by letting it become more hands-on!
