Students will be choosing a country to research topics related to environment, nutrition & physical activity, sexual health, diseases, safety & injury prevention, and substance abuse. They will create a project to share this information with the class.
They will find information about the country and then analyze the facts to come up with conclusions related to the different topics covered above.
-Analyze and describe how the environment, access to health care, and public health policies/government regulations are interrelated and can impact personal and community health.
-Analyze the ability of family, peers, culture, media, technology, and other factors influence health.
-Analyze complex health concepts related to family life; nutrition; personal health; safety and injury prevention; and tobacco, alcohol and other drug use prevention.
