This is an activity based on the use of primary documents from the Age of Imperialism (both visual and text) and students are to dissect the document to discern which motive or motives of imperialism was the driving force of that document, and they have to explain what they see and how they know the motive to be true.
This is to be done after students have reviewed the notes from the following file:
World History: Motives of Imperialism and its Effects (sold separately)
Students can use the following product to take notes:
World History: One Page Summary Chapter 27, Section 2: Imperialism (sold separately)
To practice: Have students complete the World History: Analyzing Motives of Imperialism Short activity (sold separately) first to familiarize themselves with the motives.
IMPORTANT: This needs to be printed on LEGAL SIZED PAPER [8.4X14]
