This is the student packet that encompasses the first unit of the California World History standards. It begins with the origins of democracy in Greece and Rome, moves through the Greek Philosophers ideas on tyranny, and ends with the Judeo-Christian contributions.
The packet includes all basic student activities for the unit including vocabulary exercises, writing exercises, timelines, and graphic organizers. The packet also includes checks for understanding questions and practice multiple choice test questions. The packet ends with the students answering of the essential questions for the unit in complete written form.
This unit packet is made to accompany the McDougal Littell Modern World History textbook (CA edition) & includes textbook pages for student reference.
Please note that there I an accompanying Powerpoint (also from me) that goes with this complete packet.
**The Powerpoint has all of the answers for the entire packet on separate slides*
