This is a note-taking strategy that I came up with, designed, and started using this year. It’s what I called a One-Page Summary, and it’s a one page notes template designed to cover ONE topic, chapter, or section at a time. Because it’s one page only, I focus only on the pertinent information that the students must absolutely walk away knowing.
This is based on the World History Patterns of Interaction textbook.
This note-taker focuses on things like the Treaty of Versailles, Fourteen Points, League of Nations, and Article 231.

IMPORTANT: This needs to be printed on LEGAL SIZED PAPER [8.4X14] or can be shrunk to fit on an 8.5x11.
It helps students to identify the main points.
It helps students to know exactly what they need to read, learn and study.
It helps students to differentiate between important details and minor details.
It helps students to better summarize large texts.
It helps enhance students ability to read maps if a map activity is included
It helps the more visual students to remember the information.
