This is a set of 36 flashcards to help students study the events leading up to World War I and the war prior to the US involvement. (Another set of cards will be coming soon with the end of the war!) Cards in this set include Triple Alliance, Triple Entente, Balkan Peninsula, Serbia, “Powder Keg of Europe”, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Wilhelm II, Tsar Nicholas II, World War I, Events Leading to WWI, Central Powers, Allied Powers, Western Front, Eastern Front, Trench Warfare, Christmas Truce, Poison Gas, Land Battleship, Battle of Verdun, Battle of the Somme, Armenian Genocide, Genocide, Battle of Jutland, Lawrence of Arabia, U-Boat, Lusitania, Zeppelins, Airplanes, Total War, Baron Manfred von Richthofen, “All Quiet on the Western Front”, Women’s Roles during WWI
There are 2 versions of each card. One has blank backs for students to fill in themselves. The other has the information already filled in. Use the blank cards to help students practice good study habits and note taking. Use the pre-filled cards as normal flashcards.
I've also included mini-versions of the cards that you can print and use to play concentration! These cards have short clues to make it easier to play the game.
