This lesson is designed to last for an hour of class time or longer. Students will be provided with background information about Imperialism. They will show what they know by completing engaging classroom activities and answering various depths of knowledge of questions related to the lesson.
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to answer the following questions:
- Can you identify an event in history when imperialism took place?
- Can you explain how imperialism affects society?
- Can you elaborate on the reason why imperialism is used?
This lesson provides teachers with a warm-up and an individualized activity. This activity will require students to break up into groups and complete various tasks found on the handout attached to this lesson. This activity is highly engaging and will challenge all of your students.
