To supplement your World history tests or final exam, students analyze 10 maps and 58 images covering 19 topics/units. There are 4-8 questions for each set of maps and 5 prompts for the images. The images are a mix of photos and political cartoons. This would even be great for review or if you have a sub!
The images are spaced in a way that you can cut them out for students to mix and match to create a visual timeline, or even to give students just a few to work with at a time. The answers are included where appropriate.
Sample map questions include:
--Write 1, 2, and 3 next to each map to identify the order the events represented happened. Which countries were involved in the event represented on each map?
--Explain why the borders are different in the maps. Label each map with the approximate year it represents. What sorts of future conflicts can be predicted by looking at the different borders in these maps?
--Explain how these two images are related. How did the sentiments elicited from the image on the left lead to the image on the right?
--What is being portrayed in this image? How did it challenge mainstream views on the subject at the time?
If after reviewing this you want additional topics represented, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be happy to make modifications for you!
