This was one of the funnest activities my students did this year and they loved it... students were divided into teams and they had to randomly select a scientist from the list covered in our world history book and they had to create a visual representation of what he is most famous for. The students found it challenging enough yet fun to use their creativity to turn thoughts into visuals rather than words.

Names of scientists (cut and fold and have students pick out of a jar: I did it in a way that each team in a class had a different person- no doubles so no on could cheat...and you can just make multiple copies of this if you teach more than one class)
